National Waterfowl Exhibition welcomes visitors and new exhibitors

By Clare Lovegrove of The British Waterfowl Association.

The British Waterfowl Association (BWA) presents its 22nd annual National Championship Waterfowl Exhibition to be held at Solihull Riding Club, Bentley Heath Nr Solihull on Sunday 1st November.

With an exceptional display of more than 700 ducks and geese, the National Waterfowl Exhibition is an excellent opportunity to view the wide variety of domestic duck and goose breeds available and to meet with experts and enthusiasts who keep and breed them.

The exhibition brings together 200 show classes for both waterfowl and eggs from the popular Aylesbury, Indian Runners and Call Ducks through to rarer breeds such as the Sebastopol goose and the Hookbill duck. Included are Junior and Novice classes, for young enthusiasts and those who have not previously shown waterfowl at any show. The BWA welcomes any new exhibitors, with the show being open to all to enter.

The National Waterfowl Exhibition is the major event of the year for both BWA members and waterfowl enthusiasts alike. It’s a chance to see the very best of waterfowl breeds and gain tips and advice from BWA members, whether you are an expert yourself or just a beginner.

Highlights include wildfowl and call duck displays together with a selection of domestic waterfowl and wildfowl for sale. The BWA shop and bookshop will also be present, there are activities for children and the venue offers full catering facilities.

Opening times to the public: 10am to 3pm

Entrance: Adults £2.00, concessions £1.50, children under 12 accompanied by an adult free.
