Hi,

thought I would share with all the chicken keepers on here some of the wonderful birds which deservedly won in the National. I tended to take pics of the birds which are of personal interest to me.........Have provided pen numbers but no names were on cards. Birds posted in no particular order.

Great photos elmwood. That 'best white' hen is the whitest white I have ever seen! Perhaps she has a future career in washing powder commercials?

"whiter than DAZ!!"

She is an absolute stunner in the flesh as it were, and so small n compact. I had the pleasure of meeting and chatting to her adoring mum Angela Dupont, All her birds were beautifully coiffured. x

We would Like to know where your PIGLET was and your other adorable feathered babies FOXY?? Will you be showing at the Fed.........

Aww.. no sadly, I have had a bad accident recently, broke a leg, and have torn ligaments in the other leg. I now sport a lot of metalwork in one of my legs, 9 screws and have a pin holding my ankle together. :( I would love to go the the Fed..will see how it goes. My poor husband is so busy looking after the birds and me that to drive me to Stafford is a bit of an ask really :)

Ouch!!, so sorry to hear about that Foxy :( , I really sympathise with you, I had 6 pins in my leg when I was a lad with a broken tib and fib at the ankle, lots of sitting around to drive you crazy!!, hope you have a speedy (as possible) recovery.

Oh my dear, that's sounds really painful, must have been some nasty accident. Here's hoping you are up and about soon, and that your lovely birds help with the recovery. Take care, Sharron x
