I often sell eggs to friends at this time of year if I've got more than I need. Several times people have said "I don't carry cash. Can I pay by card?"
That got me thinking. I always say "sorry but the girls don't have a bank account", but what if...
I can picture the scene. I turn up at the bank with Holly, Harriet, Margot, Repecka & / or Nibbles.
"We'd like to open a bank account please. I think it'll need to be a juniors' account, as they're all under 18. Name: Holly W*****. Date of birth: (I might have to make that up, but spring 2019, I think...)
They haven't mastered pens; will a claw print do as a signature?
I suspect there's a law that only humans can have a bank account, but the thought made me smile... Imagine what the hens might choose to spend their savings on instead of layers' pellets & aubiose ?
