Hello :)
can you confirm the age of this duck as at 7 wks I would expect to see much more feather/wing development.
Also can you confirm what you are feeding them on ?

Thank you for checking in, dorsetduckowner.

I bought him on May 30th along with 2 smaller females and a pair of unidentified ducklings (which I also posted for ID help on the general forum) from a poultry shop in Jatujak pet market. I guess he was almost 3 weeks old at that time. Maybe I am wrong but he must be at least 2 weeks at that time because the smaller females should be at least one week.

Before I learn about proper diets for the duck last week, I have fed them a variety of foods including chicken's food, rabbit's food, dry dog's food, canned cat food, fish ball, vegetables, fruits, my leftover foods. And for this bigger fella, I also used to give him some dessert. Now I am feeding them rabbit's food and chicken's food with boiled vegetables.

I will take more photo and measure their weight tonight for more information.

Hi Arcturus and welcome to the Forum.
Would this be Jatujac Market? In Thailand?

It sounds like an amazing place, - goodness knows what I would come home with. Do you have any other poultry besides the ducklings? I know that others on here who live abroad do find difficulty in buying what we would consider normal feed in the U.K.

No, only these 5 ducks. But I used to keep bantams and other birds in the past. These guys are my first ducks.

By the way, I am Thai living in Bangkok.

I look forward to seeing more pictures :) Let me know what feed you manage to find for them. You are aiming at about 15% protein, do they have access to forage? Are you keeping them as pets? If you can't get correct feed you can make up your own :) Let me know and I can give you some more details

I decided to tape the right wing on Saturday night since it seemed to flip outward. Photos can tell you better. First 2 were taken on Thursday before taping. Next 2 were taken just yesterday.

About the feed, I change their main diet to rabbit food which indicates 14% protein and a lot of boiled vegetables. I saw in a shop yesterday of 15% protein fighting cock's food, will try next time.

What do you think?
