If anyone has any electric netting for sale, I would be delighted to hear from you, with the price please.
I don't know anything about it, except that it seems very expensive new, so secondhand will be great.

Hello both Foxy and Margaid and thanks for your answers.
I don't know what PPF is, Margaid, if you can tell me, I can look, thanks for that!!
I thought you just bought a length of netting already set up complete with transformer, plugged it in and Bob's your uncle, chickkies free in garden, but slightly restrained. It does not appear to be that simple. although I still cannot see why not, obviously just not in pouring rain!!!!
I would be grateful to hear from you, Foxy, if you have come across any lengths you no longer need.
When I was looking for a length, new, I did not understand what all the horrendous cost was about, and the things you have to buy to go with it - still do not.

I would highly recommend this little energiser, so easy to install and reliable. Just attach the clips to a battery then clip to your electric netting, and stick in the ground, it comes with it's own built in earth stake. To set up it is very expensive!
I will roll out what I have this weekend, would only want about £20 for a £25 metre length. Not sure how much postage will be though.

Sorry, not been reading stuff recently. PPF is Practical Poultry Forum, there are a various bits of poultry netting and energisers for sale, I bought 2 rolls of 50m plus energiser and lead out cable on ebay - it's always worth contacting the seller to see if they have a "buy it now" price. They often will have a figure in mind but it's more expensive to sell that way.

Thanks everyone for your help and input, I really thought it would be a simple (and relatively cheap answer).
I gather there is an energizer to buy, plus other things, and it does not seem as simple as I had thought originally, - just erect, plug in and go!
I will start looking for a complete kit on ebay.

it is that easy if you have the bits! Fence, poles, guy ropes for corners, earth spike, Energiser and either 12v leisure battery or lead out cable to plug into mains.

I run off mains as the lead out cable came with it and there was a convenient socket.

Hello and thanks for the help and answers.
I lost interest when I realized that this stuff does not come in or about 2m height, sorry should have paid attention to all your kind suggestions, still seems to me to be phenomenally expensive. I just waste money on the wrong huts....................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
