Hello Every one,

Wishing you all a Happy New Year!

Well lets say I didn't plan on getting a duck but my vet's rescued one from a breeder who refused to pay to have the poor little things leg fixed. After a number of begging phone calls I decided to take the duck on.

It has been several weeks now and a long wait to discover the gender of my duck. An egg laid this morning confirmed my suspicion that she is a girl. Although she only has one fully functioning foot she is extremely happy and seem to get around just fine.

Isn't she gorgeous! What a lucky girl, to have found you and your kindly chickens. And how nice, to have the bonus of an egg now and then as well, as a thank you present.

I have since heard from one of the nurses that if she didn't come to be apart of my feathered family she would have been put to sleep. She is a funny little thing. I've been told she is a cross between an indian runner and a white campbell. May have to do a bit of research on these breeds to see what I have let myself in for. Any I formation woukd be gteatly receieved.
